Client: Lost in Oz
Agency: Flaunt Productions
Animation Type: 3D, Motion Graphics
Lost in Oz is a hugely successful international TV show for kids, broadcast on Amazon Prime. It tells the story of 12-year-old Dorothy Gale, who is transported from her Kansas home – her dog in tow – to a place called Emerald City. Sound familiar? You’ve probably guessed correctly: it’s a modern retelling of the classic kids’ favourite, Wizard of Oz!
The primary animation on the series was done by Flaunt, which is a division of Axis Animation. Jumbla was brought on to take care of a broad range of assets, including posters, logos, animated sequences (to go in computer screens and books), fonts, street art and more.
Funnily enough, the creative director for our work on Lost in Oz was Oz. But he wasn’t lost at all. Because he’s a director (a creative one)… the very definition of which is someone who doesn’t get lost.
“Lost in Oz is a really exciting job for us. It’s such a huge show on a huge platform, seen by loads of kids,” said Jumbla Creative Director, Oz Smith. “The components we worked on added to the overall look of the show. It really gives me great pride to know that our team at Jumbla has contributed to this excellent and popular program in a significant way.”
