Our television commercial (TVC) for Industry SuperFunds

Industry SuperFunds’ TV commercials have just about become an institution of Australian television - right up there with our long-running soaps. At Jumbla we were thrilled to work on some animated TVCs, to continue this rich legacy!

This video is set on the field of an AFL match. As with all Industry SuperFunds ads, one person will be elevated while the other person won’t.

What better way to depict this in a footy match, than to have one player make a spectacular mark off the back of another player (of course, he’s the one who’s with an Industry SuperFund!).

Jumbla's Lead 2D Animation Artist, Kane Rowlingson, said the agency, The Shannon Company, already had a script and the idea - but it was up to Jumbla to bring them to life.

“The original characters proposed had a lot of potential but somewhat lacked colour and vibrancy," he said.

"We wanted to push the characters a lot further to give them more expression and quirkiness. We injected a lot of personality, which I think helps to sell the humour.”
